Privacy Policy

Updated September 9, 2026. This describes the collection implemented by this site. Email delivery and external analytics depend on the operator’s configuration.

Calculator and browser data

Calculations run in your browser. If you explicitly save a Pool Card, its volume, shape, dimensions and any supplied pool attributes are stored in browser local storage. Checklist progress, dismissals and a randomly generated analytics visitor ID also use local storage. These have no automatic expiration in the current implementation. Clear the Pool Card with its Clear control, or remove all site storage in your browser settings. If storage is blocked, the site uses temporary memory for the current tab.

Usage events

The browser sends interaction events to /api/events, with a persistent random visitor ID, the page origin and path, and event properties such as calculator name, input count or selected option. Query strings and URL fragments are excluded. This identifier can connect visits from the same browser; these events are not anonymous aggregate counts. The server forwards them to PostHog only when its analytics key is configured. Without that key, the endpoint discards the events. The hosting provider also receives ordinary request data, including network addresses, and may retain request logs.

Requested emails

Submitting an email form sends your email address, calculator name, displayed result, requested timing and purpose to /api/subscribe. If email delivery is configured, Resend receives those details to send one requested reminder or immediate saved result. This is not a newsletter or marketing enrollment. The endpoint temporarily uses the request’s IP address for rate limiting. It does not write submissions to a site database. If delivery is unavailable, the form reports an error rather than claiming a message was sent.

Retention and processors

Browser data remains until you clear it. The in-memory rate limiter is process-local and is lost on a server restart. The application does not configure deletion periods for hosting logs, PostHog events or Resend delivery records; their configured retention must be confirmed with the operator. We cannot promise a deletion period that has not been configured. Email submission is optional, and local calendar downloads do not require an email address.
